• 3 MW plants now in operation in the province of Trapani, Sicily.
• Record execution time: construction and connection in just three months.

 

The two turnkey plants, with a total capacity of 3 MW, have been delivered to the client Helios Srl and connected to the national energy distribution grid just three months after the contract signature.

The two plants in questions are ground systems which have been mounted on fixed structures in the province of Trapani, in Sicily. Combined, they comprise over 12,400 installed modules of 230 and 235 watts each. Their overall yearly output is estimated to meet the energy requirements of over 1500 families. Both systems have been integrated within their surroundings by planting pittosporum perimeter hedges and a double row of olive trees, which blend into the landscape.

This record result follows 9REN’s instalment in a single year of another seven turnkey plants in Italy, providing a total of around 10 MW of installed capacity for third-party clients.

The Group has recently landed in Israel, where it is setting up rooftop plants for a total 500 KW, and in the United Kingdom, where it has a portfolio of 100 small and medium-size plants currently under development. 9REN is keeping a close eye on the international market, with which it seeks to establish valuable ties of collaboration both as an EPC contractor and as an investor. 

Helios Srl

Helios is a Sicilian company part of Gruppo OTT S.p.A. which is entrusted with the production of electric energy from photovoltaic generators.

The Group has collaborated with 9REN in creating the two plants for Helios in the Trapani area via its operating companies Ingenia S.r.l. and OTT Service S.r.l., which also work in the filed of renewable energy plants. The group is currently manufacturing another four photovoltaic systems, two in Sicily and two in southern Piedmont, where the Group has its headquarters.
