9REN installed further 19MW of generated capacity when it connected 6 new photovoltaic plants in August of this year. The list of the new connections includes: a new 850kW plant in Lanuvio, Lazio; two 1MW plants in the region of Abruzzo – the first in Scafa in the province of Pescara, and the second in Campli in the province of Teramo; and two plants in the province of Campobasso, Molise – a 1MW plant in the township of Montenero di Bisaccia and a 4MW plant in the township of Ripabottoni. But 9REN welcomes in particular the opening of the plant that marked the lion’s share of installed capacity for this series: the “Parco di Stalla”, an 11MW plant in Palagianello in the province of Taranto, Puglia, where there is also a project calling for the integration of Historic Manors within tourism and nature circuits designed and developed by 9REN in collaboration with the Istituto Tecnico per il Turismo G.M. Sforza di Palagianello.

With the opening of these new plants, 9REN now has 40 operational power plants in Italy for a total of 74MW installed capacity of which over 60MW (27 plants) were opened in 2011.

9REN is a group of companies and one of the leading contractors in the turnkey photovoltaic sector as well as one of the principal investors in the photovoltaic industry. It has developed 182 MW of photovoltaic plants in Italy and Spain of which 92 MW for third parties and 90 MW for the Group. 9REN is also active in the solar thermal sector with 183 plants, as well as in O&M (operation and management) where it manages approximately 570 photovoltaic plants for its clients.

 9REN offers customized turnkey plants which meet the needs of the residential, industrial and public sector. It offers financial consulting and payment terms for its clients or proposes itself as an investor in available third-party territory in order to develop and build plants. In addition to the power plants, 9REN is currently developing approximately 24MW of photovoltaic energy through various applications for residential, public and industrial rooftops, parking lots, barns and bus shelters. With the goal of expansion, 9REN has begun to develop a network of installation operators offering them the opportunity to grow within the market as well as professionally.

During the past three years, 9REN’s competence and expertise have been confirmed by the over 200 million euros in financing received from credit institutions and banks and by the dozens of clients for which it has successfully managed almost 570 plants. 

9REN recently arrived in Israel where it is developing rooftop systems for a total of 500kW and in the UK where 100 small and medium-scale plants are being developed.

9REN keeps a keen eye on the international market with the pursuit of establishing important partnerships as an EPC contractor or as an investor.

In 2010, 9REN closed the year with over 200 million euros in allocated and obtained funding and leasing (Natixis, Barclays, Lloyds, Santander, Leasint, Intesa, Credit Agricole, Unicredit, UBI Leasing, Mediocreval); 140 million euros in revenues through EPC contracting; and EBITDA of 13 million euros.
